Tuesday's Tip of the Week
I am a day late on this so I apologize. I have the worst coughing cold ever! Recently I took a trip to Columbia, Missouri to visit family. I kind of have to brag on what great gas mileage I got in my Chevy Tahoe. I filled up before I left the house. I drove from South Kansas City straight, no detours, had a couple of side trips while in Columbia and drove back home on one tank of gas! I was pretty amazed. I think partly this had to due with the fact that my speedometer broke, so I am pretty sure I was traveling slower than usual!
My tip this week is actually a website. www.gasbuddy.com. I used this website last year when we took a trip to South Texas. It has a trip cost calculator which takes into account your vehicle make and year and tells you where to stop to get the cheapest gas and how much your whole trip will cost in gas. It will also tell you locally where to go and get gas the cheapest. It also gives you fuel saving tips and gives you updated auto information.
What tips do you have for saving money on road trips?
