To Push A Button Or Not????

Recently since going to the car show I have been thinking a lot about new gadgets on cars.  The push button system is of course nothing new.  There have been cars with push buttons since the 50's.  It has been only recently that they have made a come back.

After doing a little research on the Internet, there honestly wasn't much I could come up with as a huge difference than using keys.  A couple of bonuses I can see from a push button is that it would be harder from someone to steal your vehicle.  That is of course until thieves catch up with technology, which they will.  You also don't have to fumble with the keys at the bottom of your purse anymore.

I can personally only think of a couple of reasons not to have a push button ignition.  The first being the recent stories in the news of people leaving cars running in the garage and then killing them with carbon monoxide.  The reason being that it takes some getting used to not turning a key off and the engine is running more quietly.  Another reason I can see is that if this broke I could see this being fairly expensive.

Personally, I am not looking to purchase a car with a push button.  I truly like turning the key in the car on and off.  What about you, do you like this feature on the new cars?
