Where Have All The Good Used Cars Gone?????

Cash For Clunkers Top Traded In Vehicle

Has this been a question you've had recently? Once upon a time most car shoppers could find a relatively cheap car (around $1-$3,000) without a lot of effort.  In today's car market you are lucky to find one running in this price range.

What has lead to this desertion of inexpensive cars?  Well many things could have affected this, the economy being one.  Perhaps folks are just holding onto their vehicles longer.  Or just maybe it could be the more complicated leftovers of the "Car Allowance Rebate System" otherwise known as "Cash For Clunkers".

We all remember this Obama program of 2009.  The premise was to help the economy, help the environment and reduce economic inequality. To be honest I'm not sure all of these were accomplished. Of course the obvious winner, the car dealerships, profited, but now where are the consumers left?

Nowadays when the economy is still not much better than it was, people are still needing inexpensive cars.  This is that time of year when income tax refunds are rolling in and the hunt for that cheap car begins. Before the feeling of defeat comes over you when you realize that cheap good car is not be be had, step back for a moment and re-think your options.

Has a traditional lender turned you down due to bad credit, no credit, job history, etc.?  Second chance financing could be an option for you.  With as little as a $1,000 down you could get into a nicer vehicle that is definitely not a "clunker"!  Feel free to get in contact with us and see if we can help.

What about you, have any thoughts on Cash for Clunkers?
